Just go back from Biloxi and thought I'd pass on news related to me by my host at the Beau. She said that MGM had gotten the funding to finish their Las Vegas project without selling the Beau, and so they had taken the Beau off the market.
Slots are still tight but had some winning sessions. I didn't see it, but someone told me that a lady had just hit my favorite $5 Quick Hit machine (the one I've hit for $1,000 plus numerous times) for the big payoff of $50,000! I...

Well, we are planning on making our second trip to Biloxi over Thanksgiving. The first trip was Thanksgiving last year. Last year, we splurged and stayed at the Beau, but economically speaking this time, we couldn't justify paying almost $550 for three nights (Wednesday-Friday nights). We are going to be in Biloxi June 28th thru July 2nd and I am trying to find discount/promotion codes for The Grand Hotel. I have a harrahs card but the best it is offering me is 109 a night. I was hoping to find a better deal for the days we will be there. And if anyone knows of coupons for breakfast, lunch and dinner that I can print or send off for I would appreciate any help I could get.

We changed our trip a bit and will be in Biloxi Oct. 28 for one night. As I get my rooms comped by Harrahs, wil be staying at the Grand, From my online reading, it seems to be one of the smalller casinos so we will probably try some others.

Regular hotel rates for the Hard Rock & Beau Rivage are ridiculously high in July ($139+ per night during the week)...

Any valid July hotel codes out there that would bring those down?

I made a quick trip out last year and only stayed one night - at the IP - and it was under $50/night.

IP was OK but am taking the wife this time and would prefer one of the most upscale hotels...

News out of vegas today is that mgm mirage will decide to whom the beau rivage and the gold strike in tunca are sold to in a month. Apparently there is alot of interest in acquiring these casinos. mgm mirage also says they will not be selling any more of ther casinos on the las vegas strip because all the offers have been to low.

I am taking a trip to Goldstrike this upcoming weekend and would love any advice you all have. How many VP bars are there (any better than the others?) any good paytables? do you have to wait in a line to go get your buffet like the beau? And what do you think the tbl mins will be fri and sat.
