This was a one-night trip. Kathy is on Spring Break so she wanted to get away for a little while. Kathy, Mom and I left
Florida on Monday morning and departed Biloxi at 11:00 on Tuesday so it was a short trip. A friend was planning to go with us, but she had to back out because
something came up at work. Our rooms were the same as usual, but it's funny that the blow dryers in both rooms did
not work. I called housekeeping and they quickly fixed it.
I basically chased progressive jackpots on this trip and
didn't catch any.
I had read an article in Jackpot
Magazine about the $1 Wheel of Fortune being over $12.2M and I had a dream that I won it! Unfortunately, my dream
didn't come true and I have no pictures for this trip.
I
played the progressive video poker in the non-smoking area at the Beau Rivage, tried my best to win the $1 Wheel of Fortune at both the Beau and the Grand, and
also played the progressive $1 Triple Stars machine at the Beau which was over $8,500. This trip was a losing trip, but
I did get a WoF spin of $1000 at the Grand shortly before we left on Tuesday, so the damage wasn't as bad.
Mom and Kathy went to see "Y" again. Kathy said there were a few differences from the first time she saw it last month. They enjoyed it the second time as well. We ate lunch at the Grand Buffet. It was okay, but nothing special. I liked the carrot cake I had for dessert. We had dinner at Memphis Q, one of my favorite restaurants at the Beau. I had the filet,
Kathy had the stuffed flounder and Mom had the baby back ribs. I got tons of Scratch-It-Rich tickets but only got $ for
free merchandise and some $5 and $10 free play. At the Hard Rock, you can't use your free play on the video poker machines (just like the Island
View).
Next planned trip is April 26 to see Lord
of the Dance. It will be just Kathy and me since Mom is going to Japan for a couple of months. As far as any unplanned
trips… well, you never know.
