The only time we will probably hit Hard Rock will be early (very early) on a Saturday morning as we know the bartops will probably be full by mid morning. There won't be enough for all those who wish to play initially. They could easily build another 50 seat bartop given the size of the casino and the crowd there. Another question in our minds will be their paytables once they move away from those bingo contraptions. We have our fingers crossed that everything will work out for us but we have had so darn many disappointments with casinos the past few years that we can't be confident of anything anymore. It would be great to meet up with you some day there and have lunch there. Are you heading back up to Ohio for the summer? Oh, I think Hard Rock could evolve into a five star hotel if they build another fine dining venue, offer 24hr room service and a few other things, it really is a very nice facility. It will be very interesting to see where they take it. UKKevin, I would stop in and check it out for sure. Have a wonderful trip! Good Luck!

Was only able to spend a couple hours as I had other appointments but got to check out some of the VP. There were 16 Game King machines that I found in the new area. (May be more, didn't look too hard) Best I found was 8/5 JOB, quess that's becoming the standard. maybe the bartops will be 9/6. BP was only 7/5 and DDB was only 8/5. Seen a few 3 and 5 play on the way out but didn't have time to check them out. Might be able to get back this Sunday, if I do i'll report what I find. Jim

The new 3 tier cards at the Seminole Hard Rock kinda spell out the truth, with the 'ELITE' card representing the BIGGEST losers out there..... unfortunally I do fall into that group which provides a lot of bread and butter ....

I don't believe we had been there in a year and did not really see it before as a gaming option given their nonsense bingo VP. I don't think it impacted their slots as much. So, BG and I headed down there arriving about 7:00am this past Saturday morn. I noted an email from our daughter (who was born with an ESP connection to her mother) just before we departed home offering to come out and help mom with chores so I called our dear daughter on the way down asking if she and her husband cared to join us at the Green Room for breakfast. Amazingly, they were out of bed, showered and at the HR by 8:00. LOL It's in her genes. We all had a great time and experienced some good luck. We stuck with quarter play pulling a quarter ace quad w/k on DDB and two quads on 4's w/k's. We saw four to on more bonus quads and royals at least 20 times. We talked of how much softer Tampa Hard Rock was in its décor and how much we enjoyed the Saturday morning music selection. HR Tampa really is a lovely casino! It would do fine on the Strip! We found quarter to $ 8/5 DDB, 8/5 JOB and 7/5 B. Well, the best game they have is B and we played that over 50% of the time. These are not good paytables but at least they are here. If airfares continue to explode on us we will still manage to get our VP fix. HR Hollywood opened its VP at Full Pay. I doubt if it last long however. As of Saturday, we found four banks in the new section of the casino and one bank of 3/5/10 play in the old section a short ways in. We can't wait for their bartops which is our thing. I think we will be seeing more of HR Tampa in the future. Our solid fav remain the Beau but thank goodness we have Hard Rock and it is the way it is!

In truth, it may not be all that far away from a 5 Star rating. I understand they intend to build another hotel tower bringing the room count well over 1,000. The casino itself is as big as MGM in Vegas. I wouldn't expect much in the way of comps here as it would seem they don't need to give anything away, including drinks. VP comps accrue VERY slowly! Per a fellow on Free Play, "I was told that $1 play equals 1 point and 400 points equal $1 in comps." Yuck! I forgot to mention before that their Bonus VP is the Vegas version, not Biloxi's. The 7/5 B is the best game they have up to $ play. Whatever may happen with comps and air travel, at least we will have Hard Rock to enjoy. It is nice and actually, once established, the comps are not bad. My husband and I receive monthly promotions for free play, food, rooms and property credit. Because I have saved all my credits and only used them a few times in the last five years, I made Elite level. I have over 250,000 credit. I had this feeling several years ago they might go to a tier level and, therefore, decided not to spend my credits on food, rooms etc. Some people feel that the Elite Level is nothing to shout about but myself, being just a medium player, I like what they have to offer. I have a nice Host whom we have met and has offered her services to us over and over. She came through on my birthday that we spent up at Hard Rock Tampa. She cancelled the regular room I had ordered and gave us a suite. In the room, she had set up the table with a beautiful birthday cake with a silver and crystal cake cutter, wine being iced down and and nice wine glasses, plates, nice linen napkins with silverware for our use and a complimentary dinner in the Oak Council. Also coupons for visits in the VIP area where food and drink are complimentary. The area is upstairs by the buffet. She said she would get us tickets for any VIP event and don't be shy about asking. I receive $100 freeplay 2x a month, $100 property credit to buy anything in their gift shops or you can use it to buy drinks or go to the spa. In your birthday month you receive somewhere between $50 and $100 freeplay and a Hard Rock pin. Monthy you receive 2 rooms and coupons for entries into different promotions. Also, free valel parking. So, I personally enjoy having this status. I don't know if the months I am up in Ohio, my tier level will go down. Even if it does, the promotions I receive, will still be welcomed.
