Saturday Nov 8, we head out of the house and go to our Daughters so Claire could do a little Mother Daughter bonding. I love to see them together. They are such friends. After a day of fun I went to bed early because I wanted to feel good for our trip top Biloxi. Yee Haw
Sunday Nov 9, we leave around 9:00 for the five hour journey, I was in no hurry, and this was to be a fun trip.
We detoured through the town of Ocean Springs before crossing the bridge. It's amazing to me how they missed all of the destruction that happened across the bay. That is really a neat little town. They were really blessed to have not had the damage that the rest of the coast going west got. I am sure there was some; maybe I didn't drive far enough.
We arrived at Treasure Bay between 2:30 and 3:00, they let us check in, we were on the 8th floor and the room was really nice. I remember the old place before it was redone; it made an Econo Lodge look like the Ritz, not anymore. It's the first time that Claire has seen the place, she couldn't get over it. She was really amazed at the TV in the bathroom. Like I told someone else, you would have had to stay at the old place to really appreciate the way it is now. Its night and day, or black and white, that much difference.
We ate at The Den twice and the Buffett once. The Den is "just OK", it's like going into almost any bar and grill but most bars and grills have better atmosphere. The Buffett was good but again no atmosphere.
The gambling was terrible, I split my $80.00 free play with Claire, $40.00 each, she was ahead after playing it in a double diamond machine but that was about it for her day and a half. She always has bad luck, but this time it seemed even worse. I actually got to use the other $40.00 in a VP machine, I was playing 9/6 Double Bonus, I was afraid I couldn't use it playing VP because I have heard other complain but Treasure Bay will let you do it.
On Monday I had another $80.00 free play so once again I split it with Claire, she used hers on a Jackpot Party machine, she came out a little ahead but soon lost it. I played mine on some .50 machine; I made a couple of bucks that was all.
The gambling was terrible, I had only one four of a kind, (4OAK) the whole time and I played VP most of the time. Well, that not entirely true, I did hit a few 4OAK while playing multi line VP but that was on a nickel machine. Oh and I also went down to the Grand and played on the 100 line penny VP machine, I got a straight flush on that. Big deal!
I think the best hit I got was late Sunday night on the 10 multi play VP. I was down to a couple of bucks after putting in $100.00 when I got a good hit and won about $75.00, I cashed out $77.25 and was happy. I don't know what all I got but I took the money and ran. Now this was a nickel machine but 10 lines times .25 is $2.50 a throw. I was happy to get most of my money back on that one play.
OK, sorry to have bored you with a nothing trip but I want everyone to post their trips so I guess what good for the good is good for the gander.
The trip home was uneventful. The next trip that
I know of will be to Tunica sometime in Jan or Feb to meet our friends from Michigan.
