Table Minimums |
Lead | |
|
We're headed to Biloxi and I like to play BJ and Roulette, but don't like high table minimums. I used to love Casino Magic's .25 tables. Is there
anywhere now to play quarter tables? If not, which place has the lowest table minimums?

NEVER heard about the .25 tables, I would imagine that $5.00 is the lowest you will find.

I'm with Charles. I think there were some $3.00 tables (Palace for sure) but I never heard of .25. I don't know if anyone has anything below $5 now.

The palace has three dollar BJ, three dollar Craps and 50 cent roulette during the week. The rest of the casinos are $5.00 min.

I believe the yokes on you guys. Who would go to a casino looking for .25 cent blackjack? You could only win .25 cents on a hand or maybe .37 and a half cents if you blackjack. About the most you could win or lose in a night would be about $20 bucks. Not much of a gamble. We played quarter limit when I was in high school in the fifties. Do you suppose you would still get free drinks with room and food comps? Good one Chazon............

I was being serious - its been 7-8 years, but Casino Magic used to have a .25 Roulette table and $1 BJ tables. I like to play for the entertainment value, but
I'm not much of a risk taker, so I usually only play $50 or so. On a $5-$10 min table, if I'm not doing well it doesn't last me long at all so I
like the lower minimum tables . . .
We are going Saturday, so the Palace is out, as its only M-Th. I've seen several links suggesting that Boomtown has $3 BJ and .25 Roulette - can anyone confirm this? That is probably where we are heading Saturday. |

I have played .25 roulette but with a $1.00 minimum. That works fine for me, I bet .25 on four numbers. Its been a while, and that was during the day, during
the week. I have no idea what the casinos are asking for now.

At Harrah's New Orleans, every roulette table I have seen is either $15 or $25 limits. I don't play a lot of roulette there.

Imperial Palace used to have $1 minimum craps. For the bets that required it, they would use 25 cent chips to pay off. For example, you could place bet
a 6 or 8 with $1.50, and the 7-6 payoff would be made with 7 quarter chips if it came in. A quarter craps table means they have quarter chips for that
purpose. I don't think there has been such a thing as a 25 cent minimum blackjack or craps table in many years, if ever.
They also used to have $1 blackjack and a posted policy that, if you couldn't find a place at a table, they'd open a new one for you. I even got free weekend room mailouts back then, playing at very low levels. It was a great place to be a low roller. But that was then (1999-2000), and this is now. With the economy in free fall, maybe we will eventually see lower table minimums some places. But casino management is going to fight it. They're good with $5 and up. |

Low minimums at The Palace | ||

Although The Palace advertises the low table minimums as being Monday thru Thursday, I've heard from a number of players that they are often available on
the weekends as well.
