I've searched the forum for info on Palace, and only have found a couple of posts pertaining to them. Did I mess up by making reservations there? I'm paying half what it would have cost at Beau.

Well, we are planning on making our second trip to Biloxi over Thanksgiving. The first trip was Thanksgiving last year. Last year, we splurged and stayed at
the Beau, but economically speaking this time, we couldn't justify paying almost $550 for three nights (Wednesday-Friday nights). Would have liked to have
stayed at Hard Rock, but they were almost as much as Beau. Thought seriously about IP, but we had a really hard time finding a parking space in their garage
last year, and their casino was extremely crowded - in fact, all around IP traffic was heavy. We ended up choosing Palace due to price and because we casino
hop - Palace is an easy drive to IP, Boomtown, Isle, HR, and Beau, although we plan on visiting almost all of the area casinos. The ones we probably will NOT
go to based upon our impressions last time are The Grand and Hollywood, but do plan to make the trip over to Silver Slipper and definitely Island View. Would
have liked to have known what Island View's rates would be even though they are not particularly close to other casinos (really liked their look), but they
don't post their rates on the internet and our play there last year would not have been enough to give us any discount had we called for rates.

I have never stayed at the Palace but I don't think you messed up. I don't like the casino, but until they build a permanent layout they have to put
the slots and tables where they can.

I think their rooms are fairly nice althought I have never stayed there. Easy to get around from there like you said. Also, eating their lunch or dinner
buffet gets you some free play.

Only played their once. It was OK but what I remember the most was a patio off the casino's second floor. It overlooked Bay towards Ocean Springs. The view
was great. Nice area to chill away from the machines for a little while.

Thanks for the replies. It's nice to know a little free play can be obtained just by eating at the buffet - assuming the food is decent! I've read the
rooms are pretty nice (not at Beau's level, of course) and I remember from last year the casino was somewhat cramped. But I remember the slot personnel
were nice which helped make up for the lack of casino space. In fact, I'd say they were nicer overall in Biloxi/Gulfport, etc. than in Tunica.
If my luck holds as it has been lately - I'll need to find that patio off the second floor! Speaking of food, I think we intend to hit the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch on Wednesday when we arrive, and again at lunch on Friday. We've been eating healthy for several weeks, and there is only so much of that we can take. |

Good move hitting the HR on Wednesday and Friday since the lunch buffet is $5.99. You cannot eat at Mickey D's for that kind of cash!

That Wednesday lunch special requires a Hard Rock slot card, so be sure to stop by the slot desk if you don't have one.

That's a good point and you should have a card for every casino you visit.

I usually get a players card at every casino, but the line at HR was long when we went there last year, so we didn't get cards. Will definitely need to
this year! Thanks for the advice on the lunch buffet!
