Went to see Lilly Tomlin last Friday night at the Beau. I am sure glad I didn't pay for that show. I thought it was terrible. It was mildly amusing in
parts. Quite political in parts. Boring most of the time. She started 15 minutes late, I guess because no one seems to arrive at a show in time to get their
drinks and popcorn, so we all have to wait for them to get in the theatre. Why can't people get to a show on time?
Overall, for me it was not very entertaining. I left before it was over. Actually I'd say it was probably one of the worst shows I've ever been to. Of course, the woman behind me thought everything was funny and laughed like a hyena the whole time.
I wonder if anyone else in the theatre caught her line starting: "If all us homosexuals.....". I had always thought she was gay, but never knew for sure.
I was impressed in that she is in great shape for her age, and had lots of energy. But her material was just not my cup of tea.
