I had a great time in Lake Tahoe. The flight was sponsored by Harrah's on Allegiant, direct from Mobile AL to Reno-Tahoe Airport. Buses were waiting at
the airport to take us to either Harrah's Reno or Harvey's Tahoe. I had chosen Lake Tahoe. When we got to the hotel, someone was waiting with
envelopes with our keys and players cards (in case you forgot yours). Mom and I had a nice room in the Lake Tower with a view of the Lake. The rooms are
huge. The weather was nice. It was cold at night (around 30) and low 60s and sunny during the day. We had some friends from CA that came over while we were
there, so we spent much of the time visiting with friends. I hadn't seen one of their sons since we were in High School, so it was fun to catch up. We
walked over to Heavenly Village, across the California border and visited the shops there. This is a ski resort. Nobody wanted to take the gondola up the
mountain with me, so I skipped it.
Harvey's is connected by tunnel to Harrah's Tahoe which is across the street. I liked playing at Harvey's better than Harrah's. Harvey's had 8/5 bonus poker so I spent hours playing that. I got one Royal Flush on quarters and my mom got a RF on nickels. I still ended up an overall loser as I had to play the penny video slots. I earned lots of TR points and played on Kathy's card too and got her up to Platinum. I never did check out the Diamond Lounge but there was one at Harrah's.
We ate at both of the nice restaurants at Harrah's and Harvey's. At Harvey's, the restaurant is 19 Kitchen Bar and is on the top floor of the Hotel with an awesome view of the Lake. Food was great and we watched the sun set over the lake. At Harrah's, we ate at Friday's Station on the top floor of that Hotel. We again watched the sun set over the lake. These are both first class restaurants and I used comps to pay. Other meals were at the Harrah's Buffet, the 24-hour cafe and Cabo Wabo Bar & Grill.
I loved the trip and I hope to take another Harrah's trip to Reno/Tahoe next year. Thanks for reading.
